Over the last 20 years, Uganda’s relative stability and progressive refugee policies have made it the destination for over a million registered refugees, including people fleeing conflict and instability in South Sudan and the Democratic Republic of the Congo. The recent influxes of refugees have aggravated the need for a comprehensive understanding of the humanitarian situation and the provision of services for refugees living both in dedicated refugee settlements as well as in urban settings. REACH has been working in Uganda since 2017 and provides evidence-based information for humanitarian actors in support of strategic planning.
