South Sudan

The outbreak of the civil war in South Sudan in December 2013 created a complex humanitarian crisis restricting humanitarian access and hindering the flow of information required by aid actors to target and deliver assistance. REACH has been present in South Sudan since 2012 and to date, REACH informs aid planning and enhances the understanding of the contexts of displacement by tracking humanitarian needs, monitoring key ports seeing IDP and returnee movements and mapping factors leading to displacement.
