Libya

The intensification of conflict in Libya has affected millions of people across the country and driven vast numbers into displacement. Furthermore, the conflict has largely impacted refugee and migrant flows directed towards Europe. REACH was first deployed to Libya in 2011 and 2012 in order to support the humanitarian response following the ousting of the regime. As conflict re-escalated, REACH was again deployed to Libya in 2015. Today the work of REACH focuses on multi-sector needs assessments and research programmes producing information on the impacts of migration flows to the country. Furthermore, REACH conducts regular market monitoring together with cash-actors.
