Brazil

Economic turmoil and civil unrest have led to the displacement of a large part of the Venezuelan population to neighbouring countries, including Brazil. The Northern Brazilian State of Roraima has been in the epicentre of these dynamics with a notable increase of Venezuelan migrants and asylum seekers. In April 2018, REACH was deployed to Brazil to support information management efforts in the humanitarian response to the situation in Roraima. REACH has conducted a number of assessments aiming at filling information gaps on the living conditions and the needs of migrants and asylum seekers residing or transiting through northern Brazil.
